The Native American culture pursues Nvwati, or “Good Medicine.” They believe we must find our individual path to physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. We practice good medicine with both people and horses. As a result, we tailor our programs to meet the specific needs of each child.
Our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning Programs
We offer both Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). Equine assisted psychotherapy incorporates experiential treatment. Individuals participate in behavior choices for emotional learning and growth. Equine Assisted Learning has educational goals. Both therapies cultivate self confidence, communication, assertiveness, creative thinking, problem solving and more.
As Atlanta’s premier provider of equine assisted psychotherapy, we have a variety of therapy options. We focus on children who are bullied at school with our being “heard in the herd” program. We receive many referrals from our partner Autism Speaks. Children with difficulty in communication benefit from therapeutic riding sessions. Atlanta’s premier acute care hospital, Saint Joseph’s, sends us 50% of their animal therapy patients from their oncology practice.
Let us help your child find their way to physical, emotional and cognitive well-being. Register for one of our “mane” events, Summer Camp or Camp T.R.O.T. or contact us to receive more information today.
